TEMPLE or MOSQUE or PEACE?
6th
December – A date which is remembered by everyone in our country and mostly law
students. Some name it BLACK DAY of Indian Secularism, some call it SHAURYA
DIWAS or even SAMRASTA DIWAS (on occasion of Mr. Ambedkar’s birthday) and they
are many other names But what I shall call it , I am confused about it hence I take
it as any other day. On lighter note It’s birthday of two of my Brothers
(Tapesh & Shaurya ) and also day of wedding of my another brother’s elder
brother (Ashish-Banaras). Due to all this I refer it as any other day of my
year but then I am a person who takes a deep interest in politics, and moreover
I am a law student, hence various kind of thoughts come into my mind and I need
to express these cloudy thoughts.
The
importance of this day is such that Mr. Fali S. Nariman went on saying on
record that It was day after which all communal problem intitated in this
country. (Although Mr. Arun Shaurie who was sharing same platform beautifully
rejected by giving examples of communal tension before 1992)
Now,
A question I ask from myself that whether I should go with the people who call
it a BLACK DAY or with people who call it SHAURYA DIWAS (Day of Bravery). I
come to a conclusive answer that I should go with neither of them. I will put
my reasons for it in one sentence that I do not believe that it is either a
BLACK day or A BRAVERY day because nothing as such was happened to label and
give these two names which shows the two extremity or two extreme thoughts.
So
the next question props up that What Shall I do, whom shall I support because Neutrality
is a complete fraud. The interesting part is that people who knows me
(mostly my colleagues) would say I am man of SHAURYA DIWAS. Although I even don’t
know whether I am or not. With complete caution I support that there should be
a RAM MANDIR but it is not because of my inclination towards BJP and it does not
mean I am against MUSLIMS or ISLAM.
If
anyone will read the documents related to this history one will come to know
that this problem could have been dealt and solved very peacefully if our then PM’s
(Mr. Rajiv, Mr. Singh & MR. Rao) and the High Court of Allahabad would have
been understood the sentiments and validated the land acquisition done by the
State govt. of UP for building a Temple just adjacent the Demolished structure
which is known as BABRI MASJID. If anyone will talk to the people who were
actually there on that fateful day i.e. 6th December 1992 they will understand
the sentiments of the people of that time , they will understand that how the
demolition took place. Our Media is very partial and biased and I do not
understand why they give one sided picture. To show the sentiments I would take
a instance from the Book of ADVANI JI(My
Country My Life), when he was returning from the place a Police officer stopped
his car and when he found out that it’s MR. ADVANI , he said “SAB UJAAD DIYE NA
SIR, KUCH BACHA TOH NAHI”. Now you can get a clue what kind of environment it
created.
Now
see what a beautiful political decision came by the Hon’ble High Court that
they distributed the land in 1/3 to all the parties, isn’t this ridicules as
the court must have been understanding that NIRMOHI AKHADA Is a part of HINDU
WING and they are going to support for the Temple construction. I don’t believe
it’s a justice but I adamantly say it was pacifying judgment and I am very much
confident that Our Hon’ble Supreme Court is going to UPHELD this judgment.
As
I said earlier that I am with Ram Mandir construction because I believe it will
be a unjustified attack on the majority community of this country to hurt their
sentiments and not because I am swayamsevak of RSS. I am very much secular but that doesn’t mean
that every time a Hindu will be on his knees. Why can’t you allow a single
temple to be constructed in country which has a majority of Hindus? Why we see
it as a defeat or win over the each other, why can’t we stop it as many brother
and fellow Indian has lost life and shed his blood on this issue.
Although
I would say construct a Mosque also let live peacefully together and live
politics on this issue because this lowers down the standard of our political
discourse. And as recently Mr. Hamid Ansari said this bloody politics should be
stopped and RAMLALLA be freed upon. Yes I agree with this as we are jailing
our GODS in One TEMPLE or a MOSQUE by pressing this matter more than REQUIRED
Therefore,
Come out of all this rubbish let the FLOWERS
BLOOM.
Ranesh, I have no problems with most of your views. There's nothing wrong in a religious community wanting to have a temple constructed in any place especially in one seen as particularly holy. The problem is when it demands that an existing religious structure should be demolished so that its own temple can be constructed. This elimination of one community for the accommodation of another is against humanity, let alone the Constitution and other aspects.
ReplyDeleteIsn't is funny that 80% of people in a country numbering to millions and millions say that they are scared of the minorities? Who will believe such balderdash? Who is this gargantuan community trying to fool projecting the bugaboo of insecurity?
Another problem, a more serious one I think, is why are we still unable to grow out of our infantile need for gods and temples? Can't we grow up to humanism?
sir, I also do not want to stick to temple or mosque , I also want to grow up to humanism. But as I said it is not about scared, now it has become as issue of dignity.
ReplyDeleteI never want to construct a temple by demolishing other structure, and that's why govt. in 1991 acquired the land adjacent to the building of mosque to construct a temple, but neither the High Court nor the Central govt. understood the sensitivity and declared the acquisition invalid.
I also do not like people who have extremists thought although as I said either there should be temple and mosque both or nothing on that place. It will hurt the dignity of both community
