Democracy vis-a-vis Mr.Modi's Cabinet

My Father won the General Elections of 2014 being the Bhartiya Janta party Candidate. It is embrace and God’s Grace. Not to forget to thanks the people of Kodarma who voted or even not voted my father. Currently he is the State President of Jharkhand of BJP, earlier he was also Minister in the state of Jharkhand. This all because he served the party and party contributed in his career. My father gives all the credit to the party as party has given him a lot.

Because of this I also belong to the list of BJP supporters but here one point is to be noted that I support this party not only bcz of my father but because of its ideology. The political parties present in India have different ideologies and some are without any ideology also so it is only BJP’s ideology that attracts me.

Now being a student, I happen to read things , I may not be very good reader but I am trying to be. Therefore when I find anything which is against the Ideology or which is morally wrong my conscience urges me to be a critique of that thing. Even Atal Ji , My favorite political leader till date, once in the parliament said “निन्दक नियरे राखिये, आंगन कुटी छवाय, बिन पानी-साबुन बिना, निर्मल करे सुभाय”. Therefore I believe it’s my prime duty to be a critique when I find something wrong, and in that Pursuit I will never hesitate to criticize the party from which My father belongs and I hope my friends and people around me would not and will never believe that My criticism is my father’s criticism, my word are in total control of mine, and very basic fact as to why my father would like to have my mouth for his words. He is above to me in all sense, rather I say every father in this world wants , his son to be a person of individual identity and thought. And So I am.

Now, coming to the topic as to why I have written all this above. I supported hon’ble Mr. Modi for PM post before General Elections and Now he is our Hon’ble Prime minister. But when I saw the cabinet he appointed, I was in a sheer shock. First of all I found many people in the cabinet who either never contested or never won popular election. Now Constitution of India provides for the bicameral system of governance. The objective of setting up of Rajya sabha that it will allow the states those have not equal representation in Lower house to have their elected members plus the People who can termed as eminent personalities whose help is needed in government working but cannot be inducted in lower house because of not being a Leader.  But if we see the present scenario where the objective has been diluted because neither people same state are coming to rajya sabha (Although SC gave decision in negative to this case, Kuldeep Nayyar V UOI, It is in itself other debate but for this article, I will only say that I am against this decision) nor the eminent personalities are coming. By saying nor, I mean to be majority, what is happening is the people who either loses the popular election goes to Rajya Sabha, or Who has no “JNADHAR” comes through Rajya Sabha.

Therefore appointing such persons is making mockery of democracy because the people of India do not accept them as their Representative. Further, My contention goes that the persons who lost the election how can you appoint them as ministers, this is insult of people verdict. I am not saying whether they will perform well or not because this evaluation will be done after they leave the office but why such members who have been rejected by People are being made the Ministers in the government. BJP got 282 sets of its own but MR. Modi does not find any such person worthy enough to take the responsibility, he has given to rejected people. This means while Distributing tickets you do not think that whether the person is capable to be India’s ministers. You are giving tickets to anyone.

Further, if we see in BJP there are many leaders, or I would say So-called Leaders who never dare to face public and through lobbying and buttering have become party head functionaries. This is morally wrong I believe. It is said that the loyalists of MR. Modi has been inducted as most of the ministers or I find many people who can never question Mr.Modi’s judgment because they are neither answerable to People of Bharat nor they have power to question because they can not do any harm the party. I am saying it because if a person who can harm the party then there will be constant risk and threat to mr. modi before taking any action.

I have learnt that Pt. Nehru has inducted Mr. SP Mukherjee in his cabinet who was of opponent party. Therefore we see there is an example of this nature on one side and other of Mr. modi , now we have to decide whether we want MR MODI to be of Present Form or A MODI whom we can compare to Pt. Nehru?
